Todae Solar has extensive experience in delivering large-scale solar installations and multi-site rollouts nationally. MW (Megawatt) scale solar installations can be deployed for large-scale Tier 1 electricity users like Large Manufacturer’s, Big Box Retail, Healthcare and Agriculture (including Ground Mount Systems). Todae Solar has worked with numerous organisations from concept and feasibility to installation for MW scale projects. MW+ systems require more than 4000 solar panels and require a sophisticated EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) Contractor to complete. With our experience as Australia’s #1 commercial solar installer, we can provide your organisation with a sophisticated business case and feasibility study on MW scale solar installations.* We provide a full service EPC approach and have a track record of delivering high quality installations for a range of Tier 1 clients.
MW+ scale solar installations are suited to organisations spending more than $60,000 per month on electricity. Due to the significant energy generation and potential revenue from LGC’s, these systems can provide excellent long term returns. To understand the potential benefits, a Todae Solar consultant will analyse your load profile, tariffs and facilities to provide a sophisticated solar business case. Large-scale energy consumers like Tier 1 manufacturers, retailers and agricultural organisations spend significant money on energy per annum. While these organisations often receive competitive electricity tariffs, these costs can still be one of the largest operational line-items. MW+ installations can generate over 1.6 Million kWh and potential savings of over $400,000 per year. These cost reductions can allow your business to improve operational profitability and reinvest these savings in other strategic projects. With finance solutions that do not require upfront capital your organisation could receive these benefits without affecting capital budgets.
MW+ scale installations are eligible to receive Largescale Generation Certificates (LGC’s) for the energy that they generate. This is part of the Federal Renewable Energy Target (RET) and provides one certificate for one Megawatt hour of electricity generation. With the scheme running up until 2030, this can provide more than over $1,000,000 of additional revenue for the duration of the scheme.
Whilst large-scale energy consumers often have 2-3 year electricity contracts, energy prices have increased significantly in the last 12 months and are continuing to follow an upward trajectory. Even a 5% increase in these costs can have a dramatic impact to profitability. This lack of control over electricity costs can pose a large risk to your organisation. MW+ scale installations, can be used as an initiative to provide greater certainty, control and accountability over energy costs.
Organisations that are suited to large-scale solar often have sustainability targets or initiatives in place. Globally solar is one of the most common initiatives to promote Corporate Social Responsibility with organisations such as Apple and Google investing heavily in solar under their sustainability targets. Locally, numerous organisations benefit for solar, one of Todae Solar’s customers, Stockland, received a Green Globe award for their 1.22MW installation.
“Operating out of more than 28 sites, Aegis Aged Care is always looking for ways to reduce expenses, but it has to make sense. After providing detailed analysis and working with us towards a solution that worked well for us, we decided to partner with Todae Solar and implement PV on 26 facilities, totaling more than 3MW.
Todae Solar’s experience in the WA market and their ability to deliver multi-site projects made it an obvious decision to utilise their expertise across all facets. Being high care facilities, we initially had concerns around the logistics, however we have been extremely pleased with how the systems have been designed, managed and installed, coming in ahead of schedule.
Aegis Aged Care have plans to further increase its portfolio of facilities in the coming years. As a result of the trust we have with Todae Solar, we look forward to an ongoing relationship throughout this period and beyond.”
