Nillumbik Shire Council Says Yes To Sun & Shade
Todae Solar has recently completed the installation of a 126kW Commercial Solar System for Nillumbik Shire Council in Melbourne. This project uniquely features 100kW of solar panels filling the roof to near-capacity, as well as a visually appealing 26kW carport system in the parking lot directly adjacent.
Todae Solar utilised the space around the building to maximise generation and innovation by designing a 26kW solar carport to complement the rooftop system and add capacity. Commercial solar power continues to grow in Victoria due to rising energy costs and improved Feed-in Tariffs. Nillumbik has joined the solar ranks with style and added functionality thanks to their new solar carport.
Solar carports have been very popular in the U.S. and are becoming increasingly commonplace in Australia due to their multi-purpose design that allows customers to expand PV capacity as well as provide shade in hot parking lots. Nillumbik Shire Council’s 26kW solar carport will serve the community in both functionality and as a visible testament to their environmental commitment.
Todae Solar would like to congratulate Nillumbik Shire Council on going solar and demonstrating their environmental leadership in the community.
